I've found this website that is super useful for land acknowledgement as well as simply educating yourself on Indigenous land, where we currently reside. This webiste also has an awesome teacher resource that is available for download as well!

I have found this website which allows for those who are interested in the history of the First Nations peoples to understand the First Nations peoples through the differng leves of contact this have had throughout history. This resource really breaks down how contact has directly affected the First Nations people.

i believe this resource is very benefical in allowing elementary students to understand the process of the learning circle into the classroom. This website provides many Indigenous resources and is easy to navigate. The categories are sorted by subject area/grade level. When you select a subject and then a grade level, it will redirect you to a new page that will then list that grades Alberta Program of Studies Specific Outcomes. Under each outcome there are links to resources, many of which are sourced from Indigenous Peoples, that relate to that particular outcome.

Back in Feburary of this year, Historica Canada made a pdocast series about First Nations, Metis, and Inuit expereinces at Indian Residential Schools. Each culture gets their own 25 minute time, and there are survivor stories also presented trhoughout each episode. Raven Reads is a curated collection of indigenous liturature that is available through subsciption or monthly purchase. Literature is available for both adults and children on a quarterly bases. Each book is written by Canadian Indigenous authors. This is a wonderful resource for building a diverse classroom library with authentic indigenous perspectives.

CBC Indigenous is dedicated to indigenous media content. This website features current indigenous content from across Canada. This is a great way to keep up to date on idigenous news in Canada and a excellent way for teachers to start conversations in their classroom. The website often links educational resources in their articles making it easy to stay educated on the topic.
