I believe hands-on activities and fieldtrips are great for students to learn about Indigenous cultures first hand! I remember making Bannock with an Indigenous elder in grade 2 and I thought it was amazing!

I totally agree! In my opinion, I think teachers should incorporate Indigenous based lessons naturally rather than because they have to due to Orange Shirt Day or Truth and Reconciliation Day. Indigenous picture books, videos talking about different…
