This article discusses a woman coding a textbook for students who only know their indigenous langugae. Not all students are able to read english but now there will be texts avalible in Mi'kmaw braille. This is a large difference from the school experience Zitkala'sa describes in her memoir. Students were forced to learn english and forbidden from speaking their language or discussing their culture. The article says that this may help preserve the mi'kmaw language and provide education for more students.
