Not only was the Catholic church and said entities "forever discharged" from their financial responsibilities, but also their legal bill. Who is picking up that agreed upon 25 Million dollar pricetag? After a meer $4Million was fundraised (unsure of the means in which this occured), where is that $21 Mill going to come from now?
Who will be supporting those who faced the horrors of the residential school system and the colonization and opression at the hands of the Catholic church, if not them?

Apparently, it is impossible to actually calculate the worth of the Catholic church- -link here (https://nationalpost.com/news/wealth-of-roman-catholic-church-impossible-to-calculate), so why would there be a need to fundraise? Why are reparations not being made?
Ken Young, former regional chief at the Assembly of First Nations and a residential school survivor, sums it up best,
"Write a cheque today — never mind bothering your parishioners to raise it."
