Did you know there are still more than 30 First Nations communities without clean drinking water? Don't let this fall off your radar! All Canadians should have access to clean drinking water.

I appreciate you bringing this up, I believe it is a huge problem for indigenous communities especially on reserves. I've never understood how we have come so far in technology that we can send water 60 floors up in a skyskraper with water pressure that is impressive and clean and always available to use yet some reserves don't even have access to clean water. It seems to me that its not that we are uncapable of providing clean water to all, it is that we are unwilling to. Everyone deserves to be able to partake in clean drinking water, that is a right not a priviledge and should be provided for all.

The water crisis is a huge issue in Canada for Indigenous communities, many people do not know about this issue and it should have more awareness brought to it. All people should have access to clean water and safe places to live. After reading this I wanted to know what we as Canadians could do to help. Below is the link to a website that talks about how people can help. This includes donating, fundraising, volunteering as well as information on the water crisis and who is behind the site Water First and what their goal/mission is!

Sadly, it wasn't until this year that I learnt about the water crisis! I believe we need to teach the children at a early stage by reading "Nibi's watersong" written by Sunshine Tenasco about the Indigenous water crisis to help spread future change in their young minds.
