What are some Indigenous resources that could be used in highscool?
I believe, The Broken Circle, which is about a residential school survivor, would be great to use as a novel study in higher grades!

This is a great question. I've spent some time taking a look at several YouTube videos, and I think that this one would be appropriate to show students on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Here is the link:

In this video, Chief Robert Joseph provides an account of his experience in the Residential School system. It is a powerful and sobering video, but I think that is necessary for our students to hear stories from survivors. It will allow them to better understand the hardships and trauma that these survivors and their families had to endure while they were in these schools.
