In this video, an Inuk journalist (Ossie Michelin) teaches the viewers about some different terms that are associated with Indigenous people. The words Indigenous, First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and Aboriginal are just a few of the terms that he discusses in this video. He provides the viewer with several simple rules they can follow. They are:
1. Be as specific as possible
2. If there is more than one community, then you should use broader terms (Metis, Inuit, etc.)
3. If there are different groups together, then you should use the term Indigenous
4. If you don't know, ask!
